Following on from 17 years in a corporate world, I set up Strawberry Lettings and Sales in my garage. I had no financial backing, but I finally had the freedom of making my own rules in business. 

 

After 12 months of being in the garage, I began renting a small office and we became very well known as an honest, friendly and professional Estate and Letting Agent. Whilst being self-employed is incredible, through having my own business and employing myself, my husband, my daughter and 4 other staff members, I can empathise a great deal with business owners who are trying to find that work-life, guilt-free balance.

I gained a great deal of experience; I established a large portfolio of residential lettings and became a market leader. We bought our own office, and we were nominated for Leicestershire Business Awards, but after 11 years I reached a point where I wanted to sell. Running your own business requires you to develop the business, which can sometimes pull you away from establishing relationships with clients which was always my favourite part of being an estate agent.

The thing that never changed throughout my career was my motivation and drive to succeed. I had coaching myself during my estate agency days, and always thought it was something that could spark my interest. I know what it is like to have financial worries, staff problems, a lack of ideas to help your business grow, and that’s where I am now using my 30 years of experience – to help YOU!

If I could turn back the clock now, the one thing I would’ve changed is to have someone supporting me in business development so I could continue building my business. As a coach, I am here to listen, motivate, enthuse and encourage. Through our sessions, we will explore how you can build your business, achieve your goals and address things you may not have ever considered. Dancing in the moment with a client is pure joy and allows you to enjoy your business right now rather than worrying about what’s next.   

 

During the last three years I have also worked with many neurodivergent people, ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism to name but a few, this I have found highly rewarding as these people are needing support to find their best selves, by giving them confidence, dealing with their challenges and highlighting their strengths i take great pleasure in helping them shine, especially in the work place, which ultimately helps them in life.

As a coach, we will not be distracted by the ins and outs of your business or work. I am here to help you focus on the framework, be accountable, to set goals and to support you in meeting them. You are the driver of the car, and I am the passenger helping you navigate to your destination.
