Coaching

"Create a life you love".

What is coaching?

Coaching provides the opportunity for you to take part in a thought-provoking and creative process, inspiring you to maximise your personal and professional potential.  With me you enter a unique professional relationship that empowers you to achieve your desired goals.  As your coach, I do not provide answers and solutions; I am not an expert in how best to live your life.  Instead, I believe you have the tools to design and create your own actions that will lead you to where you want to go.

Professional coaching focuses on setting goals, creating outcomes and managing personal change. Other service professions, like consulting and psychotherapy, are based on the wisdom and expertise of the professional. In coaching you—the client—are the expert. Your coach’s role is to ask powerful questions, act as a sounding board, provide objective assessment and observations, listen fully and actively, challenge your blind spots, and foster shifts in thinking that reveal fresh perspectives.

Through the transformative power of coaching, you can be your own superhero.

How does coaching work?

As your coach, I shall support you on your journey using a range of tools and techniques that have been tried and tested.  All coaching sessions follow the International Coach Federation’s competency guidelines but remain tailored to you.  Through profound questioning, having space and time to explore, we can uncover limiting beliefs, explores key values and create actions that you can accomplish.  Confidentiality, trust and authenticity and key to a successful coaching relationship.

What is a coach?

  • A coach - has a natural desire to help others grow and develop, to become the best they can be.

  • A coach - is willing to help someone by listening to them, challenging their thinking and encouraging action.

  • A coach - sustains commitment to someone’s true potential and goals, even perhaps when their own self-belief falters.

  • The meeting of two individuals is like the contact of two chemical substances, if there is a reaction, both are transformed.

As a coaching client, your role is to:

  • Create the coaching agenda based on personally meaningful goals.

  • Assume full responsibility for your own decisions and actions.

  • Use the coaching process to promote possibility thinking and fresh perspectives.

  • Engage big picture thinking and problem-solving skills.
